BOOK XXVIII

The body dissolves, that is the way of heaven.

LAO TSE

He has made you all of earth. He shall make you return to it and he shall take you from it once more.

KORAN

NI REVÊTUE THE MIRE

1 Let those who reproach us for writing the Book and those who curse because of it or who curse it because of us, be themselves excluded and cursed on the day of God's judgement! 1' Let those who praise us for writing the Book and those who bless us because of it or who bless it because of us, be themselves saved and blessed on the day of God's judgement!

2 Those who constantly step aside before God and those who proclaim their nothingness before God, can they be the enemies of God?
Reply, oh hypocrites who feign adoration of the Lord and who slyly place yourselves on all occasions before the priority of the Unique One!
2' Have we not submitted ourselves to God's commandments as much as our weakness allows us? And if we reprimand the weakness of God's servants, is it not so as to make the word of God more radiant and pure in the darkened world?

3 Did we not wash the feet of the Saviour when he was embodied on this earth of exile? And did we not collect his tears and his blood when he died to save us? Did we not place the crown of pure gold on his royal head when he was resurrected?
And did we not prostrate ourselves at his shining and holy feet?
3' Did we not rest on his bosom sopure, and did he not kiss our lips in a holy way? Are we not his friend and his brother? And what is he that we are not potentially? And what are we that he is not in the act?
Have we not stepped aside in all circumstances before the splendour of the light of the Unique One, so as not to cast a shadow over God's salvation?

4 Who shall throw the Lord Christ at our head like a club, with the perspicacious eyes of a blind man? Let him be crushed by his own blindness and let him perish from his own blow, for the Spirit of God is not with him! Let him therefore be broken on the stone or be crushed by it! 4' Does he defend the holy word of God, or does he defend the little cheese where he has settled in the name of God? That is what we wish to know, and that is what he has truly to ask himself.
"There are still honest and sincere people among the believers who hope and among those who seek God's salvation."

5 Everywhere intrigues, platitudes and acts of cowardice to obtain a place in the world that perishes, and not a single impulse of the heart or the spirit to obtain a place in the world that does not perish. 5' The intelligent and the skilful of this world are truly stupid, but they still do not know it. How great shall be the noise of their useless screaming and wailing when they find themselves stripped bare by God's judgement and exposed to the view of all!

6 They fight over the dung and they neglect the pearl that gleams above them. What worse curse than this?
Are they not to be pitied despite their admirable success in this transitory world?
Are they not already cursed by God and excluded from his salvation?
6' Every verse of the Book has cost us a little of our bread and a little of our earthly life, but have we not unknowingly made a fabulous investment? God and the believers shall respond as they wish. As far as we are concerned, our gift remains free before God and towards men of goodwill.

7 Our own were the first to help and to receive the blacks who came to them. Shall the blacks not also be the first to receive and help our own who now go to them? 7' The black peoples are still divided and as though in the process of being born, but one day they shall be united and strong if they receive the Book of union and of love in their hearts.

8 Let us not be distracted from our quest by the images of the world, and even less by the images of images of the world, which are like a vanity of vanity. Let us rather contemplate the image of the Lord in our purified hearts, until we embody it triumphantly in the life that does not perish. 8' Let us defend ourselves courageously against the filth of the world that invades us, but let us defend ourselves fiercely against the filth of sin that kills us, and let us consume it, so as to be able to receive the baptism of water and spirit that shall make us live in the eternity of the Unique One.

9 He who is strong in God does not avenge himself and humiliates anyone, for he forgives even his enemies and makes them his friends. 9' Our joy overflows when the Lord smiles on us and our heart is sad when he hides himself from us.
Who shall let us live forever in his magnificent love?

10 Whatever the disorder of the societies in which we find ourselves, it is enough for us to remain faithful to the word of God and for us to accomplish it in the world so as to be saved. 10' Realizing that one wastes one's time even working here below, makes us want to waste no more time, even resting in the world.

11 When the deaf and the blind dominate in the world, vulgar methods take over subtle methods. Thus, beasts experience creation first by putting their nose to it, while superior men first see the stars that light up the sky and hear the voice of God that instructs them. 11' Yes, a small remainder shall be sifted out, as one collects the still-glowing cinders at night from a heap of dead ashes, and these shall be nourished by God's sun and shall illuminate heaven forever.
As for the ashes, they shall serve as fertilizer to nourish the vine where God's chosen ones shall quench their thirst.

12 No, it is not a joy to be sent to preach the word of God to rebellious and lost men, for God's law is inexorable and men's heart is hardened like a rough stone.
No, it is not pleasant to soften the blow of God's anger, nor to save the cooled stone from the fire of righteous judgement. No, it is not advantageous to serve as a screen for God's anger when the straw has replaced the grain in the world's silo.
12' One day (and what a day then!), God shall grow tired, and no intercessor shall descend or ascend between him and the rebels, for then the first shall have appeared in last place. There shall be a void and a strange delirium in the world, for men shall be abandoned to their own madness and the fire of heaven shall appear close and cruel without the protective screen of the saints' prayers. The noise of the light shall cover even the cries of the nations in fear.

13 The earth shall be covered by the bleached bones and the ashes of his creation, and the first noise to be heard shall be the noise of the rain from the heavens, and the first cry to be heard shall be the cry of the first one resurrected by God. 13' Oh, day of glory and of judgement! Oh, day of love and of forgiveness! Some shall contemplate in fear their accusatory nakedness, while others shall sing God's praises because of their clothes of light.

14 When the birds come out again of the earth free and joyful, take heart again, my son. When the does and their fawns gambol in the springtide grass, rejoice, my child. 14' When the flowers of the meadows drink the dew of the heavens, dance, my chosen one.
When the sun and the moon rest in your hands, sing, my beloved one.

14" But when your heart rejoins my heart, be silent, my unique one.

15 Am I not right to contemplate the face of my Lord?
Am I not right to expose myself to the love of the unique Splendour?
15' Give me, oh Lord, the pure and imperishable body, the only one that can support without harm your loving look and penetrate up to the repose of your holy depth.

16 Oh, divine ease of all creation, you work and you do not get tired. You rest and you do not get bored. You laugh at death, for your laughter is the imperishable life of eternal youth.
Oh, Lord Father, give me your purity, give me your innocence, give me your freedom, give me your grace, give me your love, give me your power, give me your light, give me your generosity, give me your beauty, give me your life, give me your eternity, if it pleases your holy forgiveness.
16' Hear my prayer, you, whose light is all intelligence, all love and all power of life. Come to me on your penetrating ray and awaken my life that is sleeping in the darkness of exile. Animate me again and save me from the horror of death, oh, marvellous Father who is unstinting and tireless with your holy seed.
"Those who give the Lord a name other than that of Unique One born of He who IS, deceive themselves and deceive the world."

17 Who dares to bury all humanity in the name of God's salvation? And who dares to reject God's salvation because of the ignorance of those who transmit God's word?
Who among them possesses the knowledge of the all-powerful presence of the Unique One?
17' Ignorant hypocrites and conceited rebels, God undermines you all, and the common grave reconciles you in your common nothingness.
Is the light of the wise and holy books not sufficient to illuminate the way of the believers who seek God?

18 Let us confess our faults and settle with generosity all debts and all litigation with whoever, so as not to dangerously increase the burden of death that already crushes us so much. 18' Now, Lord, we cry before you, but it is with joy, for our hearts melt in the heavenly tears so that you might coagulate them into precious rubies in your immutable eternity.

19 All those who steal vulgarly or subtly shall have to account for their dishonesty on the day of reckoning. 19' Let us strive not to be found in debt to anyone, for there shall be no appeal, no pity and no reprieve for the rogues.

20 He who is truly strong is not afraid to appear weak by reaching agreement with his adversary before the time of judgement. 20' Every bad thought and every curse we provoke in the world is like a stone added to the invisible burden that bends us towards misfortune and towards death.

21 Let us go to our adversary and let us not tire of hearing him until we have come to an agreement with him, rather than exchanging blind writings that only increase the resentment and the confusion of everyone. 21' The more cunning we are, the more we shall be deceived.
The more calculating we are, the more we shall be robbed.
The more we burden, the more we shall be crushed.
The more we plot, the more we shall be destroyed.

22 The super-intelligent impious ones who play at being revolutionaries in the world and the right-thinking hypocrites who play at being conservatives have buried us, because the name of the Beast whom they serve is not printed on our hands nor on our forehead on which shines the Name of the unique Lord of life. 22' Happy reprobation, happy exclusion, happy solitude, happy silence, happy prison that confirm our holy inheritance, for the wicked ones receive nothing but their own dung, which they recognize by its scent without ever making a mistake.

23 Have we not worked for God, for his believers and for his Churches?
Have we not defended, renewed and propagated the faith in the unique Splendour?
23' Have we not reminded all the seekers of salvation of the humble and simple way of the divine kingdom?
Have we not confirmed and renewed the wise and holy words of the primary revelation?

24 The impious one receives but does not thank, profits but does not love, has plenty but does not praise. His fate is already decided, for he shall become like dead wood that is burnt to make fertilizer. 24' The believer feels gratitude for the life he has received, feels love for him who gave it to him and praises him who perpetuates and saves it miraculously. He shall flower once more in the garden of God.

25 A nation survives itself because of its sages and its saints. 25' It perishes because of its shrewd and its impious ones.

26 No need for connections, nor presentations, nor recommendations, nor introductions to get close to the Lord of salvation. There is no need for diplomas, nor certificates, nor enrolments, nor registrations. 26' No need for passports, exeats, tricks, tips, grovelling, lies, cowardice, robberies or crimes, as needed to get close to people in high places in the world.

26" "Only a heart purified by fire and by water, and fertilized by the Holy Spirit."

27 If we are asked what the Book is, let us reply: a stone on which believers lean firmly, and a spring from which they ceaselessly draw water. 27' 36 opinions known simultaneously.
36 professions learned at one time.
36 things done at the same time.
36 lights seen all at once.
36 desires fulfilled in just one.
36 religions brought together in one faith.

28 Few men are capable of enduring God's freedom without dying, and few men are capable of enduring the free will bestowed on them here below without weakening. 28' That is why so many men who can only live in flocks or like caged rabbits in the world, clamour for the slavery of the tyrant or the State.

29 Men's science is a stopgap that artificially, and with a great deal of effort, returns to them a small part of that which they irremediably lose through the effect of the fall into death. 29' He who knows how to laugh at the world and at himself with the Lord is truly illuminated by God.
"Is the saint not divinely warned of the catastrophes caused by men rebelling against God?"

30 Let us carefully observe the sordid hatreds that poison the relationships of hypocrites among themselves, and let us notice the affection with which God's true children surround themselves. It is a mark that must make the doubters reflect. 30' Is there a sweeter reward in this world than the affectionate gratitude of those whom we bless and help to get closer to the truth of the God of life? What more beautiful harvest to offer the unique harvester?

31 We are pursued right now, and we are condemned because we cure the sick who are abandoned, following the example of the Lord of forgiveness and of love who shows us the holy way. 31' Soon, we shall also be persecuted because we console those in despair, and we shall be condemned because we convert them to the salvation of life of the unique God, as hypocrisy and wickedness reach their peak in the world.

32 Let us not receive among us any of those who have chosen to serve the Beast by exercising a profession of wild beast or a profession of domestic beast that threatens the freedom or the life of the innocent, the poor and the holy. 32' Let the ones gone astray choose a profession of a free man that threatens no-one, and let them become converted to the love of God and to the mutual help of their fellow men if they wish to wipe out the curse of heaven that weighs on them and participate in the blessing of the children of God.

33 What would become of the world if the revelation of God disappeared through the action of the impious and if it stopped manifesting itself here through the disappearance of the prophets? One would only see herds of cattle exploited and reduced to slavery by a handful of wild beasts. 33' No joy, no security, no repose, no peace for us, while one believer cries in this world of misery, while one who has gone astray gropes around in this darkness of exile, while one sick man lies dying in this charnel-house of death, while one crucified man moans on this cross of ransom.

34 There are no illegitimate children in the world; there are only well-off hypocrites who put their interest before that of God, for the Unique One is gracious to all those who seek him with a loving and sincere heart. 34' We prefer to risk being deceived by all men than to judge just one prematurely, thus risking deceiving ourselves.
"We do not see the transparent heaven, but the Lord sees through the dark outer layers."

35 Here we are like small mines of the Lord of heaven, and here is the Lord of heaven like a small mine of the immensity of the unique Splendour. Thus, all are in One like gold coins are in gold. 35' Thus, the magnetic dust shall rejoin the mass of the magnet and shall merge into it, and everything shall remain in One, as before the explosive cry of joy that emulsified the worlds on the face of the dark abyss.

36 The union of man and woman is holy and sacred before God. Woe betide those who profane it, for they shall become like beasts instead of being made like gods. 36' We shall join our wives in a holy way to ask for the blessing of the grace and the confirmation of God's love, who never denies his rescue to his beloved children.

36" Let him who can join the heavenly fire do so and live! For there is the salvation and the union that do not perish.

37 It is faith that permits us to approach knowledge of the love that saves from the exile of death. 37' He who is in the darkness sees God outside himself, but he who is in the light sees God in oneself.

38 The Unique One sent us the letter of the Father engraved in the stone of Israel.
Then, he sent us the word of the Son preached all over the Western world.
Now, he sends us the thought of the Spirit that shall cover the whole world.
38' Is it not the same and unique revelation from the beginning to the end? Did it not come out of the black earth? And now, does it not return to the black earth?
"Will the dark children that were the last in the world not become the first in God?"

39 The Son came to us from the Father through the Spirit. At present, the Spirit comes to us from the Son who has returned to the Father. 39' Who can recognize the Lord embodied under his rags of a poor man? He is blessed, for it is God in person who enlightens him.

40 All that we say about the Lord of salvation is worthless if we do not know the incarnate Lord, for we go astray in the void of darkness instead of joining the plenitude of the Unique One. 40' Thus, our disputes concerning the Lord of life are imbecilic like those of blind and deaf beggars who cannot recognize the colour and sound of pure gold.

40" Is the weight of the hidden splendour not sufficient to attract our attention? And is its incombustibility not sufficient to confirm our secret hope?

41 Let those who come or return to God in their hearts after having read the Book bear witness to him in the world, so that each one is confirmed, either in freely consented faith or in freely chosen impiety. 41' We ask you to pray to God freely in your hearts, and to study the holy Scriptures, and not to parade yourself in the churches to make people believe in your holiness and in the impiety of others.

42 He who receives the Book in his heart is blessed by God, but he who rejects it excludes himself from the salvation of the unique Splendour. 42' The Lord approves of us, for do we not follow his luminous trace? Do we not confirm his holy word? And do we not recall his wise way?

43 The revelation of God's salvation involves a Church to perpetuate it and a School to teach it, and the one cannot go without the other, on pain of the eventual disappearance of both. 43' For sleeping faith and proud science lead to spiritual and corporal death, that is to say, to the erasure of divine revelation and the erasure of incarnate humanity.

44 The believers shall choose the word that aids them the most, and the seekers shall choose the one that instructs them the best. 44' Everyone can enter the Church of God, but not everyone can enter the School of God.

45 A wretched man who praises God in his heart is worth a thousand times more than all the great men of the earth who think only about the world and their affairs. 45' Oh, holy mire of the abyss despised by the intelligent of the world, it is in you that the precious gold that ennobles the simple children of God is hidden.

46 Those who profess to represent God on men's earth must necessarily hear what God says to them when they humbly beg him to instruct them. 46' These shall tell us sincerely that which the Lord has revealed to them about the Book, but perhaps he does not hear them or he does not reply to them? Therefore, how can they claim to represent the Unique One?

47 Not all the guardians of the holy Scriptures are sleeping in a sinecure. There are still some that are awaiting and seeking God's salvation here below. 47' We trust in the perspicacity of the true lovers of the Unique One and we trust in their good faith, for they are seers and listeners of God.

48 Have we not put the Lord of heaven above all creature?
Have we not put his earthly revelation above all Scripture?
48' Have we not put ourselves last?
Have we not put his word first?

49 Have we not put his hidden School above all instruction?
Have we not put his revealed Church above all communion?
49' Have we not brought back up to date the flesh and blood of the Lord once more?
Have we not returned the honour to bread and wine?
Have we not put into evidence the holy stone and oil once more?

50 Are we for the holy Lord?
Are we of the holy Lord?
Are we with the holy Lord?
50' What do our exhortations say?
What do our preachings say?
What do our adorations say?
Reply, oh, seers who also hear!

51 Let us deny the messenger if that suits us, but at least, let us receive the message that glorifies the Lord and let us acknowledge the word that opens spirits and hearts, so that nothing be given to us in vain. 51' The Lord, who was innocent and true, endured sarcasm, insults, blows and death well without becoming angry. Thus, we who are bad and sinful, to what extent must we not endure everything without grumbling?

52 Whoever returns to the Lord sincerely is received with open heart, for the Lord has no rancour, and forgives even those who have stupidly preferred death to him. 52' Has each one not received a part of intelligence in order to know what he is doing? And those who have lost it, is it not through having systematically despised it by doing evil?

52" Are we not here also to forgive, to console and to save following the example of the Living One of eternity?

53 The blacks have been waiting for their holy inheritance since one of their sages discovered the star that led him to the virgin mother and to the infant king. 53' Shall they receive at present that which is offered to them in particular? The arrogant pride of their brothers favours them divinely, but none of them know it yet.

54 The dead shall dissolve the Living One but the Living One shall coagulate the dead and everyone shall rest in the unity of the Unique One; that is, if the dead still receive the Living One! 54' For if the dead are like the dough, the Living One is like the yeast that enlivens it and transforms it for the heavenly baking that makes the golden bread of God.

One shall make a black man believe many things, but one shall never make him believe that there is no God.
