Litanies of the Mother and of the Son
BOOK XXV
The book you have received from heaven shall increase the blindness of many of you, but do not be alarmed at the fate of the infidels.
KORAN
I have come to this world for a judgement, so as those who do not see might see, and so as those who see might become blind.
JESUS
VIT EN URÉE
THE STONE
1
He who reaches the Lord of life here below is like an idler whom all the workers of the world would not be able to equal with all of their labours.
1'
How hard-working is he who has no respite day or night in the quest for imperishable life! How idle is he who rests in the living unity of the Unique One!
2
All intellectual accomplishments are illusory, for they do not drive out the agony of death that grips us here below.
2'
Only the palpable incarnation of the Lord of life can deliver us from all evil and all death.
3
A crushed finger, and there go all of our beautiful philosophies, exploding in cries of pain and in mad gesticulations.
3'
When they drove nails into his hands and into his feet, he analyzed nothing and he taught nothing; but he still forgave.
4
Oh, the fine discourses! Oh, the subtle thoughts! Oh, the scholarly edifice! Oh, the vacuity of the spirit! Oh, the wisdom of the void! Oh, the transcendence of nothingness!
4'
The sun and the moon light us up, the rain and the dew water us, but no-one understands the prodigious doctrine of God that is sufficient for everything.
5
A kick in the backside judiciously applied brings men happily back from the worst strayings of abstraction.
5'
How satisfied with themselves are the wise monkeys who cackle over the void! Nothing but the shadow of the stick, and they climb once more up the tree of objectivity.
6
Religions established by men propose disembodiment to us in the eternity of limbo.
6'
God's revealed religion proposes the incarnation in the eternity of manifested life to us.
7
Since all creation tries constantly to survive itself, why would we alone search annihilation in death?
7'
It is good to hope for future salvation by praying to God with perseverance. It is better to search for immediate salvation by asking for God's aid day and night.
8
Despite all men's philosophies, a broken leg is still a broken leg.
8'
With God's salvation, even a dead man can live again. It is truly incredible!
9
How generous is nature, how free, how varied, how simple, and how hidden!
9'
Too many rules in our heads, too many compasses in our hands, too many balances in our hearts.
10
Most shrewd ones, you have found the soap to scour the skin, but the filth within remains without remedy before your malice.
10'
How could he use the divine power he who has not become like an inoffensive little child once more?
11
Some hypocrites preach humility to us with such pretensions that we cannot help ourselves from laughing on seeing them struggle in the mud where they play the triumphant masters.
11'
Then, we shall laugh no longer, for these false humble ones exude a false sweetness, a false assurance, a false humility and a false submission, which are the stench of the devil hidden beneath the veil of false holiness.
12
Conceited hypocrites, keep your lessons for yourselves, and put them into practice, for then you shall no longer have to preach them to others.
12'
We shall recognize the hypocrites by the fact that they never confess their faults and they never laugh at themselves.
13
No-one should make use of the Book to lecture anyone or to scold him, if he does not ask for it.
13'
The way is self-sufficient, for its odour is sweet and its light is persuasive.
14
It is cruel that God's revelation has finally engendered in believers a sectarianism so blind that it is an obstacle to the very revelation itself.
"The more instructed they think they have been, the more ignorant they become. "
14'
It is a hard punishment to keep the outer layer and ignore the almond because of blind and deaf faithfulness.
"The idolatry of people prevents the deep comprehension of the divine mystery and its accomplishment here below."
15
To penetrate is a good beginning.
To be penetrated is a good end.
15'
To open is a better beginning.
To be opened is a better end.
16
Those who say: "Have patience and die" are criminals if they do not add: "Triumph and live".
16'
Those who say: "Triumph and live" are criminals if they do not say first: "Have patience and die".
17
Priests have obscured the prodigious revelation of the unique Splendour of life, but they have kept it intact, while the ignorant ones who have left it have amputated and disfigured the deep revelation of the secret of saving incarnation.
"It is up to the believers to dig out the guarded treasure instead of sleeping on top of it."
17'
The philosophies of men are nothing but compromises with the world in which we are dying; they are incapable of giving back to us the pure life of the beginning. It is better to be ignorant of everything than to be an obstacle, through pretentious explanations, to the doctrine of heaven that resurrects us miraculously.
18
The saint disembodies himself from the death of the world. The sage reincarnates himself in the life of God.
18'
Who is the ignorant one who sets them in opposition?
Who is the expert who unites them?
19
Many weak spirits stop at the death of the Lord and do not clearly conceive of his glorious resurrection. They are sincere, but they are also sinister in the extreme.
19'
We must follow the Lord beyond death on the cross of the world, unto the glorious resurrection and unto the heavenly coronation. Is that clear?
20
Humility precedes.
20'
Triumph follows.
21
Holiness prepares.
21'
Wisdom accomplishes.
22
Darkness nurtures.
22'
Light springs forth.
23
Death separates.
23'
Resurrection reunites.
24
Exile instructs us.
24'
Return fixes us.
25
No-one can go to God without voluntarily giving up the part of the mixed world that has been shared out to him.
25'
He who does not die to the world cannot resurrect in God, that is the law that severs, but that does not share out.
26
The mystery of Christ is the mystery of God made man and the mystery of man remade God.
26'
He who aspires to reach the secret of divine resurrection without passing through the death of the mixed world hurtles towards irreparable crime and disaster.
27
The life of the sage comes out of the death of the saint just as the life of the butterfly comes out of the death of the caterpillar, which becomes a chrysalis, and then, a miracle of resurrection.
27'
Likewise our lives shall come out again of the chaos of the dark lysis where the divine mystery of God's creation is renewed. Let those who know how to reflect look into this dark mirror!
28
The simple disciples show us with their finger the mystery of divine incarnation.
28'
The faithful disciples lead us patiently to the mystery of divine birth.
29
The holy disciples proclaim in the world the mystery of divine death.
29'
The wise disciples murmur in our ear the mystery of divine resurrection.
30
We have left heavenly life by crossing the darkness of death.
30'
It is impossible to reach heavenly life without crossing the darkness of death again.
31
It is not up to us to cut the dead wood that clutters up the great tree of life planted in the world. New blood, which comes from heaven in holy sacrifice shall make that which has remained alive green again, and the dead wood shall fall by itself.
31'
Idolatry and sectarianism is to take the appearances of the revelation for the reality of the mystery of regenerated life.
"All the prophets approve of the Book that confirms them, and the Lord blesses the Book that consecrates him."
32
He who speaks to God in his heart does not argue in the world about the person of his envoys.
32'
By sheer force of arguing over the pre-eminence of the glasses, the believers forget to taste the divine ambrosia they contain.
33
Shall we open the eyes of those who have placed a blindfold over their eyes?
33'
We are talking about the believers who concern themselves with people, and not with mysteries.
34
Shall we open up the hearing of those who have stuffed plugs in their ears?
34'
We are talking about the believers who cling onto the letter and forget the spirit.
35
Shall we open up the spirit of those who have placed a sack over their head and a weight on their heart?
35'
We are talking about the believers who fall asleep in the rites and the laws, neglecting the love and the knowledge of God.
36
At present, we shout from the rooftops that which was once whispered in the ear, for all prudence has become useless. Has men's ignorance with regard to wise and holy things not gone as far as it can?
36'
Does one not speak openly of God's secrets before the rough beasts? At present, the pigs move away by themselves from the smallest drop of dew, and the dogs no longer sniff the odour of holy things.
37
God does not ask for slaves established in death, but rather sons freed in life. Let those who feel they are slaves behave like slaves, but let them not condemn those who, feeling themselves sons, behave like sons!
37'
Is it the dead and the dying installed in this century who shall read the Book of the renewal of life? No! But rather their children, who desire the palpable gift and not remote promises.
38
Many believers recite to us their beautiful lesson about the blood of Christ that saves from death, but do they really know whom they are talking about and what it is really about? Let them first seek the Lord, and when they have found him, they shall act instead of arguing vainly.
38'
Would they not do better to search for the blood of this king of heaven and live, instead of focusing on the habits of truth and stagnating in death?
"To preach the formula of water is not to give a drink to those who are thirsty."
39
The nonbelievers want to open their skull, which is serious.
39'
The experts want to open their spirit, which is even more serious.
39"
Will the Lord God perhaps open the heart of some of them?
40
Christ is alive and sometimes comes back to earth, but few see him, few receive him and few truly taste him.
Incredible revelation, which makes us tremble with joy and hope.
40'
Free believers can receive him and live, the others are scandalized and reject the divine gift, for they have established themselves in death and have relegated the presence of the Lord to the limbo of oblivion.
41
Proud believers nailed the gilded master in the name of the ancient law that he explained and accomplished before them.
41'
Conceited believers would not even notice the wise and holy master if he explained and accomplished the gospel once more in front of them.
42
Oh, curse of the blindness of the believers too schooled in letters!
42'
Oh! double curse of the blindness of the believers too ignorant of spirit.
43
The closer we move to God, the more we distance ourselves from the world; that is the mark that does not deceive, for the closer we move to the world, the more we also distance ourselves from the Unique One.
43'
We do not preach a doctrine of abandonment and dissolution in death; we preach a doctrine of purification and coagulation in life.
44
Worldly passions are categorically opposed to the quest for the Lord of life.
44'
Get away from God, politicians and patriots, financiers and scholars, sectarians and moralists, conquerors and dominators!
45
No violence of any kind should be done to him who refuses to recognize God, for that would be to plunge him into a death even more opaque.
45'
Failures and privations only usefully serve those who have the will to search for God, for that prevents them from losing themselves in the world.
46
What we say about the present representatives of the Churches is for the good of everyone; it is enough to read the Book carefully, for our quest is the pledge of our love for the lordly mystery.
46'
We are not here to chain prisoners or to finish off the sick, but rather to free them and cure them in the love of the handsome Lord of resurrection.
47
The Church of the Lord of life is dear and precious to us like the stone on which it is founded, and we pray to God that his representatives return to the simplicity of him who established it.
47'
This has to open the eyes of many of those who cling on vainly to the dead ruins, and who do not see the living heart of their foundation.
48
The blood of the Beloved One is a blood that saves and that saves itself. Do we not see, do we not hear the holy cohort of transfigured and resurrected ones who bless God in their heart for eternity?
48'
The gentle seekers shall be saved, but also the violent ones, for the blood of the Lord of life warms or burns alternately, like the fire of heaven that fertilizes, and like the fire of earth that purges.
49
The fall of man has a divinely elevated goal, which is the acquisition of a base body and its glorification in God.
49'
Those who preach rejection of the body also lose the spirit and have to undergo incarnation once again in even more opaque darkness.
50
Let us allow those who devote themselves to the study of the mysteries of God to live freely among us, and let us maintain them modestly, so that the blessing of God also floods over us.
50'
Christ left the custody of his holy word to his known disciples, but he also left the custody of his wise word to his secret disciples.
51
Those who transmit the exterior of divine revelation must not envy, repudiate or persecute those who transmit the interior, for they are brothers in the unity of the secret of the Unique One.
51'
One word and the other complete one another in the unity of divine revelation, as the known and unknown disciples complete one another in the unity of the communion of life.
52
He who possesses the spirit of life condensed in the rutilant blood of the heavenly Saviour identifies the symbols, the people and the rites in the unique truth of life.
52'
We would like to avoid scandalizing the believers by going beyond the images, the people and the rites that conceal the mystery of the regeneration of humanity and creation gone astray.
53
There is no salvation for the brutes who please themselves in bestiality and in the excrements of the world.
53'
That is reserved for the simple children of God who follow his right way.
54
What does it matter if we know neither the why nor the how of the mystery of life, as long as we taste its holy fruit that saves from death. "There are the believers. There are the possessors, and there are the experts."
54'
Only one knows the why, it is he who IS. A few know the how, they are those who operate. A small number know the taste, they are those who receive. Many know the warmth, they are those who believe.
55
He who does not believe in God shall not come close to God.
55'
He who does not believe in the science of God shall not find God.
56
God holds out his hands to all his children, but those who think they have reached the top of the ladder of revelation no longer hold out theirs towards him, and thus remain at a standstill in their ascent, and make speeches to preach to others what they themselves do not actually know.
56'
No-one can climb the next rung if he does not see it or if he does not feel it clearly enough to dare to leave the rung below, without the risk of finding himself in the void and falling back into death. Thus, we must neither force nor do violence to anyone in going beyond the images of his faith, on pain of sterilizing him or making him fall.
57
We propose that you go up and go in depth. We do not propose that you fall asleep in the world, even though it be on the pillow of faith. Let those who want to sleep sleep, and let them spare us their worthless explanations and their worthless sermons!
57'
Did the master not say: "No-one can come to the Father if the Father does not attract him to him"? Well! Now we say to you: "No-one can find the Lord of heaven if one does not embody him in oneself".
58
The ROOTS[1] of the tree of life...
[1] The French RACINES is an anagram of ARSENIC.
58'
are like the VILE TRIO[2] that unites heaven and earth.
[2] The French TRIO VIL is an anagram of VITRIOL.
I am black but beautiful, daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Cedar, like the pavilions of Solomon. Do not take notice of my black complexion; it is the sun that has burnt me.
SOLOMON
Without name, it is at the origin of heaven and earth; with a name, it is the mother of all beings.
