BOOK XXXIX
|
2 |
But the Lord prohibits us even from laughing so, and we remain in God's hand as a servant of God, as a child of God, as a friend of God, as a son of God, until the world feels God's wrath and weeps in the terror of smoke and of stones, of blood and bones, of fire and water. Until the world calls for help, and it howls, and it begs, and no-one answers except for the demented laughter of death. |
2' |
When the Lord gives us the powers of his house we shall attract many new believers, but those who come right now in the darkness and in solitude shall be established the first among all, and nobody shall take from them their holy reward. Oh, you who come to the Lord of life and forgiveness! bless those through whom you come to him and you shall be blessed by the Father, by the Mother and by the children! |

Thierry, the washer-man, has been washed; Thierry, the prickly one, has been smoothed; Thierry, the slow one, has overtaken everyone, and at present his faith in God serves as an example to others. The Lord shall certainly confirm him through the goods of the earth and through the goods of heaven. This man has acquired the true intelligence that shall not be taken away from him. |
3' |
The vicar received the revelation of the lordly secret like a holy sacrament, which he carries at present in his heart, and he shines even for the blind who come to him from everywhere. The Lord visits his true priests and he enlightens them through his genuine priests. He who receives discovers him who gives, and remains silent. |

|
|

On doubting still whether it was necessary to abandon our profession in the world in order to serve God, has the Book not confirmed it to us through verses 3 and 3' of BOOK XXIV ? |
|
|
10 |
On wanting a confirmation of the way of God, has our wife not been taught by verses 14' and 14 of BOOK XXIV ? |
10' |
And still doubting, has she not been convinced by verses 64' and 64 of BOOK IV ? |
|
|
10" |
PFinally, before our obstinacy in wanting to do the right thing in the eyes of the world, have we not received a severe warning through verses 56' and 56 of BOOK XXIV ? |

At present, here we are, each of us responsible before the Lord, for ourselves, for our children, for our parents, for our friends, for our servants and for our close ones, if we neglect to warn them about the threat and about the promise of the Book of the final hour. |
40' |
At present, here we are as though harnessed to work and as though under the yoke of the Lord who pays the workers of his vineyard, and we cannot go backwards without falling into the pit from which nobody returns. Let us advance, therefore, courageously, for the repose of the Lord is close, and his salary is eternal salvation that does not disappoint. |

51 |
Alas! three times alas! the "rightthinking ones" do not like us, and we do not like them. And if we scold them it is by God's order and as by holding our nose, because by ourselves, we would never have had such courage or been so charitable. The impious and the rebellious smell good by comparison with them, and they also appear upright. |
51' |
Yes, God has made us a rag-andbone man against our will, and we are not proud of rummaging in the dustbins of this world. But does one not sometimes find there, among the rubbish, silverware thrown away by negligent servants? And does that silverware, once cleaned, not shine once more on the master's table? |
